The Wee Haven

The Wee Haven is a beautiful wee haven indeed! Equipped with everything you need, it’s an ideal base. Excellently positioned to explore (or in my case work on) the Uists too, being as it is on Benbecula, between the North and South islands. Lovely outlook to the hills and a short walk at to the beach for sunset. Look forward to coming back to stay again!

This was an absolutely fabulous stay. The pod is so, so cute & charming - it’s very well done, and every detail has been thought though. Sheila was so kind to us upon our arrival, giving us some local treats & was so helpful. The bed & couch were so comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the view beautiful - we wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!

I loved our stay at The Wee Haven! The pod was beautifully kitted out, with everything you could need (very impressive, for a small space). There were some lovely touches, like wee decorations, biscuits and even local gin! Very thoughtful. We enjoyed drinks while sitting out on the deck (it was a lovely sunny day), and the location was great for exploring Benbecula and the Uists. Sheila was very friendly in her communication prior to our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Her dog Paddy was very cute and super friendly too! :) I wish we had stayed longer...

The Wee Haven was a little piece of heaven. Sheila (and the black lab Paddy) were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we had anything we needed. The views are stunning. It’s not far from the Dark Island and beach. We had a lovely walk there from our pod. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Just had a massage with Sheila and it was absolutely first class! I can't believe this was my first time ... I can promise you it won't be the last though! Sheila is clearly very skilled, has fantastic hands, used the perfect level of pressure and worked through my tense shoulders. I left feeling relaxed, happy and utterly satisfied. Great value for money too. 5 stars all the way!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Wee Haven. Our host Sheila was very welcoming, informative, and helpful. We found the pod comfortable, well-equipped, and with ample supplies. As suggested by Sheila, we drove down to the beach and enjoyed a magnificent sunset. We would have loved to have stayed longer, and we’re hoping to return someday. Gotta give that yoga yurt a try!

This review is far too late .... for what was the very best 1st class and excellent Massage therapy delivered by Sheila Park MacDonald last year (2023) after I suffered a slipped disc and then horrendous, debilitating / excruciating nerve pain with no real improvement for 3 months. I was fortunate to be gifted four 90 minute massages that were to be redeemed within a short period of time in an attempt to resolve some of the incredible tightness / severe pain that had resulted from a badly torn tendon and muscle fibers in my mid-lower lumbar region / attachment point to the pelvis. The sheer force sustained and that developed from this initial injury and trauma via carrying and loading a chopped up heavy oak tree slipped my disc 10 days later and hence then followed the 'other level' nerve pain. Sheila totally understood just how bad and in need of easement I was. Her healing hands and unrushed massage within such a relaxing environment combined with beautiful calming background music was just the medicine my nerve tortured body was screaming out for! Her touch and skillful intuitive, sensitive and targeted therapy really did over the course of 4 treatments bring such a massive difference to my level of pain and gave me a real noticeable difference to my ability to move and function. Something - that before her massage had not been improving to any degree. I highly recommend anyone thinking of booking a massage and in need of some relaxation to book in with Sheila and experience her Complimentary Therapies and intuitive natural caring ability and willingness to heal.
